They should have used a post office delivery slip but instead they used a blue parcelforce one which is intended for parcels that they have left at a parcelforce depot which you can get redelivered. Can't make it to the post office for opening hours any time this week and I'm on a foreign asignment from Sunday. Parcelforce Worldwide is the trusted express parcel carrier for business and consumer parcels, delivering across the UK and Worldwide Great British Parcel Delivery Parcelforce Worldwide Minus Icon.

Using Parcelforce with Stream

This integration enables you to send order data between Stream and Parcelforce.

Most businesses managing deliveries with Stream use their own fleet of vehicles. Occasionally though, delivering via companies such as Parcelforce can be very useful smaller items, parcels and during busy periods.

The use of 3PL or couriers as part of your logistics planning can give you more flexibility. For example, to quickly scale up and meet sudden increases in demand, or to expedite delivery when routes/runs are at capacity.

With the Parcelforce integration in place, it's easy to plan and track deliveries in Stream Go.

When planning in Stream, create a special limited run for a Parcelforce delivery. On this run, add any orders or items that you plan to deliver via Parcelforce. The routing for this order will be handled by Parcelforce.

‘Print' the run, to send information about the order from Stream to your Parcelforce account, via Parcelforce's API.

Send order information like service level, delivery date, and delivery address, so Parcelforce can book the delivery.

Once Parcelforce validates the details, the delivery is automatically booked, and you can print Parcelforce-specific barcode labels.

Print and affix the Parcelforce label to the order or item. The Parcelforce driver will scan the label on collection. At that point, the order is marked as complete in Stream Go.

Parcelforce generates its own tracking code for the order. Once the order is dispatched, this tracking code is available in your Stream account. The tracking code links to Parcelforce's tracking page. From here, you can follow the progress of the delivery (just like you would on Stream's tracking page).

Parcelforce Parcel Packaging Checklist

Internal packaging is just as important as external packaging

Even the strongest cardboard box can be rendered useless if the items aren't protected internally. Parcelforce recommend you wrap each item in your parcel individually, in a protective layer like bubble wrap, and if possible, placed inside an inner box, before putting them in your main package.

Take care with your internal packaging and it should help:
- prevent any damage from shock, vibrations, impacts and pressure during transit
- prevent items within a parcel from touching
- eliminate any internal movement of a parcels contents

Fill the gaps

Polystyrene chips can be a good way to fill any empty spaces between your items and the box. They can also help reduce your item moving around in the box and provide good protection against shocks and vibrations.

Parcelforce advise that if you're using polystyrene chips to fill the box up with chips around your items or the inner box. You want to ensure that there are no air gaps or pockets of air. Once full, give the box a little shake for the chips to settle and top up the box on chips if needed. Then you can close up and seal the box ready for sending.

Use strong tape and avoid string

Household sticky tape isn't usually strong enough to seal up your parcel, use strong parcel tape and avoid putting string around your parcel as this can get caught when processing your parcel and potentially cause damage.

Don't strap multiple boxes together

Parcelforce Delivery Times

Don't be tempted to tape multiple parcels together as these can become separated and get damaged. You may have to buy a larger box to fit all your parcels in, or book them as separate deliveries.
